The Police Executive Research Forum (PERF) is a professional association of police chiefs and managers. It provides leadership to the profession on many key issues and over the years has undertaken a number of important research projects.

PERF has issued a number of reports in recent years that are among the most important reports on current police issues, including police training, constitutional policing, and police use of force.
